If your seller performance on Amazon goes down, your products will drop in rank. You could also have your seller privileges revoked or account suspended. I’ve seen it happen.
You don’t want that to happen to you. Being able to sell on Amazon is such a huge opportunity!
I have a super easy way to get rid of around 70% of all negative customer feedback. It’s absolutely incredible and I'm very thankful, because my assistant actually discovered it. It is a totally legitimate and fair way to remove negative feedback.
One of the three performance categories on Amazon is Order Defect Rate. Having it under 1% is ideal.
Order Defect Rate is affected by three things:
What do you do if all of a sudden you start getting negative feedback? Often times, feedback is related to something you can not control, but they’re still connected to your account. There is a way to fix this.
First, go to “Performance,” then to “Feedback.” You can see here I have a 3-star feedback that I want to get rid of.
If someone gave you negative feedback, but it had to do with dissatisfaction over the product and not your performance as a seller, Amazon will remove it. A lot of buyers get confused and give negative seller feedback when it should actually be a review on the product. So 70% of negative feedback is going to be confused customers putting negative feedback because they didn’t like the product. Amazon likes to keep seller feedback and product reviews separate, so they will remove it for you.
First, copy the order number on the less-than-stellar seller feedback. Then, go to the top right corner and click on “Help”, then “Contact Us” at the bottom of the Help box that appears.
The fastest way to get this resolved is to chat with someone. You have to be a Professional Seller to be able to have chat support, but if you are an Individual Seller, you can likely get the same results by emailing, it just takes longer.
The best way to get chat support quickly is by clicking “Selling on Amazon,” then “Your account,” then “Other account issues.” Other options will only take you to an article and will waste your time. Now you can hit “Chat now.”
Here’s the message I use to get negative feedback:
Hello, I hope your day is going well.
I received negative feedback that had nothing to do with my performance as a seller on order number [order number here]. Will you please look at this and see if it can be removed?
This is the fastest and easiest way to get negative feedback removed. Remember to be kind, nice, and professional. These people have to sit all day answering tons of chat questions. It pays to be respectful and put them in a good mood, and it also increases your chances of being victorious.
Say something encouraging. Don’t be a jerk. Don’t say “Get this done.” I’ve seen some of us do that. I say if you would not have the courage to say that to their face, don’t say it through chat. That’s a real person on the other end, so treat them with respect. Not only are you going to feel better because you’re speaking life into their day, the chances of you getting what you want more quickly and the way you need are much higher.
After they remove it for you, if they do, make sure to thank them. It takes 3-4 minutes to chat support and get negative feedback removed. If your feedback is strong, it will help your Order Defect Rate, and if your Order Defect Rate is low, your products will rank better. It’s worth your time; do what it takes to keep your account in stellar performance. Your sales will be better, your life will be better. Have an awesome day.
